The Rising Toll of Martyrs and Detainees in Occupation Prisons

The prisoner institutions (The Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs, the Palestinian Prisoners' Club, and the Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association) announce today, Sunday, the martyrdom of two detainees from the Gaza Strip: Mohammed Abdel Rahman Huwaishel Idrees (35 years old) and Moath Khaled Mohammed Rayan (31 years old).

These statistics do not include arrests in Gaza, estimated in the thousands.**

 

- **Total Arrests:** Over 11,800 arrests have been recorded in the West Bank, including Jerusalem.

- **Women:** More than 435 women have been arrested since October 7. This includes women from the territories occupied in 1948, women from Gaza arrested in the West Bank, and others. The figures do not include women arrested in Gaza, estimated to number in the dozens.

- **Children:** At least 775 children have been arrested in the West Bank.

The Occupation has Transferred Administrative Detainee Khalida Jarrar to Isolation Under Difficult Conditions for Seven Consecutive Days and Counting..

The Israeli Prison Services has kept administrative detainee, human rights activist, feminist, and former member of the Palestinian Legislative Council, Khalida Jarrar, in isolation Neve Tirza prison in Ramleh for seven consecutive days. Jarrar was arrested at dawn on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, from her home in Ramallah, and was issued a six-month administrative detention order, which was renewed for an additional six months, set to expire in December 2024.
