Ramallah – A 6-month administrative detention order has been issued against Addameer Media Coordinator Hasan Safadi, who has been under interrogation for forty days. The judge may confirm the order based on secret information on a date set within 48 hours. Safadi was set to be released today based on a decision from the Magistrate Court in Jerusalem, on a bail of 2500 NIS and third-party guarantees, which have already been paid. Ofer Military Court has issued an administrative detention order against journalist Omar Nazzal today, Monday 02 May 2016. The order is set to end on 22 August 2016, but may be renewed indefinitely. Israeli High Court Postpones Decision on Setting Date for Returning of Bodies of Extrajudicially Executed Palestinians Ramallah - The Israeli High Court decided to postpone looking into the petition filed by Addameer attorney Adv. Ramallah - The Magistrate’s Court of the Palestinian Authority extended the detention of five young Palestinians for further interrogation. Appeal against the administrative detention of Palestinian circus trainer and performer Mohammad Abu Sakha has been rejected. The appeal was based on the fact that Abu Sakha is being held without charge and trial, which amounts to arbitrary detention.
