Dear Prime Minister,

I am writing because I am deeply concerned about the continued imprisonment of Manal Ghanem who was arrested in May, 2003 and soon after gave birth to a son, Nour. Both are currently being held in Hasharon-Tilmond Prison.

I urge you to immediately and unconditionally release Manal Ghanem who suffers from thalassemia and Nour Ghanem who is only one and a half years old.

Until their release, I also ask that you ensure that all prisoners are given prompt, regular and unrestricted access to family, lawyers and doctors, and are not subjected to torture and/or other ill-treatment by members of the Israeli prison services.

Thank you for your attention into this very important matter.

Sincerely,
